City of Greater Dandenong’s stormwater management program has identified industrial estates as being major contributors to stormwater pollution. Contaminants entering local waterways impact the health of local waterways . To improve stormwater management practices, the council initiated an industry engagement program to establish and maintain a dialogue with potentially polluting businesses. Stormwater pollution profiling allows officers to better target the engagement programs by identifying high risk areas and even businesses.
