Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Bio2Lab Pty Ltd (ABN 29 619 164 797) ("Bio2Lab", "we", "us") operates the website bio2lab.com.au. This policy explains what personal information the website collects, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect and why

Enquiries. If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address and whatever you include in your message. The form sends these details to us by email and keeps a copy on our website. We use them to reply to you and to discuss work with you, and we keep them in our email system for as long as we need them for that purpose and for our business records. The same applies if you email us directly.

Client project pages. Some pages on this site are password-protected for our clients. When you enter a password, your browser stores a cookie so that you are not asked for it again for ten days. The cookie contains no personal information.

Website analytics. We use Google Analytics, through Google Site Kit, to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, approximate location (to city level), and device and browser type. Google sets cookies to collect this. We see aggregated reports, not information that identifies you. You can read how Google uses this data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Maps and fonts. Our pages display a Google map and use fonts served by Google. When your browser loads them, it sends your IP address and browser details to Google.

Security and server logs. To protect the site, we record the IP addresses of failed attempts to log in to its administration area. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, date and time) for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

The site uses a small number of cookies: those needed for the site to work (for example, remembering a client-page password or your cookie preferences) and those set by Google Analytics. Our cookie banner lets you record your preferences. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although password-protected pages will ask for the password on each visit.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run our website and email, and only so far as they need it to provide those services:

  • our web host, VentraIP Australia, whose servers are in Sydney;
  • Google, for email (Google Workspace), analytics, maps and fonts.

We may also disclose personal information where the law requires it.

Overseas disclosure

Google may store and process information outside Australia, including in the United States.

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to its administration area and to our email is restricted to Bio2Lab staff. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and to delete it when we no longer need it.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
