To better understand pulse pollution events in industrial areas, we deployed real-time pollution sensors. The sensors measure common stormwater quality parameters, volatile organic compounds and water level. After 10 months of monitoring, it is clear that there are obvious pollution patterns appearing that are likely increasing pollution levels in local receiving waters such as Dandenong Creek.
